More Children Died In Gaza Than Global Conflict In 4 Years
JAKARTA - In just five months, Israel has killed more children in Gaza than the total number of children killed by worldwide conflicts in the past four years, the United Nations reports.
The Albanese report underscores the terrible reality facing Palestinian children under Israeli occupation, and highlights the adverse effects of the conflict.
"Dismantling a population of its roots. Genocide is a process, not an action, and what is happening in Gaza is a tragedy that has been predicted. Look at my report on the treatment of Palestinian children under Israeli occupation," Albanese wrote on social media X as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, March 14.
In his upload, Albanese showed the number of children killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza from October 2023 to February 2024 reached 12,300, while world conflicts since 2019 have killed 12,193 children.
The report details the relentless attacks on Gazan civilians, especially children, who are the most affected by the violence.
Albanese's findings provide a troubling picture of systematic targeting, indiscriminate bombing, and destruction of critical infrastructure, causing many families to flee and the community to collapse, Anadolu reported.
