All England 2024 Results: Anthony Ginting To Quarter Finals
JAKARTA The men's singles badminton player Anthony Sinisuka Ginting stopped Kenta Nishimoto from reaching the quarter-finals of the All England 2024.
Anthony Ginting rolled up the Japanese ambassador in a fierce two-game 21-18 and 21-19 match at Utilita Arena Birmingham, England, Thursday, March 14, 2024, WIB night.
"Today's tight match. Game and points are also tight. Grateful and quite happy with today's performance," Ginting said after the match.
In the first game, Anthony Ginting was forced to bounce back from 2-8 and 8-11 at the interval to win the game. He started not being overtaken after scoring four consecutives to lead 18-15.

Meanwhile, in the second game Ginting was comfortable to dominate throughout the match. Nishimoto was forced to only equalize the score once at 18-18.
"In the second game after winning in the interval, the opponent changed the pattern by forcing him to take control up front. I picked up a lot of balls and finally he got a lot of attacking opportunities," said Ginting.
"We have complained a lot of strategies because we already know each other's strengths and weaknesses," he said.
This is Ginting's eighth win over Nishimoto from a total of 11 of their competitive encounters. One of Ginting's three previous defeats occurred last year in Hong Kong 2023.
The other two defeats occurred at the French Open 2017 and Malaysia Open 2019, respectively.
