Bengkulu National Recapitulation KPU, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra, NTB To South Sulawesi Tomorrow
The General Election Commission (KPU) will hold a recapitulation of vote counting in two panels on the 16th day of the plenary meeting to recapitulate the results of the national 2024 election vote acquisition at the KPU office, Jakarta, Thursday (14/3).
"We inform you that the provincial KPU friends who are already present in Jakarta and have registered at the KPU are Bengkulu and North Sulawesi. We will continue this for tomorrow," said KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari closing the plenary meeting in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 13.
He said Bengkulu Province would be placed in Panel A, while North Sulawesi Panel B. In addition, continued Hasyim, the plan for South Sulawesi, West Sumatra and West Nusa Tenggara will follow.
"Well, these three provinces are planned to be present for tomorrow, yes, whatever time tomorrow we will verify first," he explained.
According to him, if the three provinces express their readiness, they will follow the recapitulation on Thursday. The KPU will provide further information regarding the distribution of the three provinces' panels.
"Or maybe there are other provinces that will soon follow," added Hasyim.
Based on the national recapitulation as of Saturday (9/3) to date (13/3), the KPU has approved the vote acquisition for the presidential election at 21 provinces at the national level; namely the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Gorontalo, Central Kalimantan, Bali, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, South Sumatra, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan.

The recapitulation process for calculating the vote acquisition leaves 17 more provinces out of 38 provinces that have been calculated. According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
