SAR Team Finds Again One Victim Of Floods In Pesisir Selatan Regency, Dead Condition
Head of the Padang City Search and Rescue (SAR) Office, West Sumatra Abdul Malik said the search team for flood and landslide victims managed to find another victim in the Koto XI Tarusan area, Pesisir Selatan Regency.
"Entering the sixth day of the team's search, the team managed to find one victim at 16.00 WIB with a male gender," he said via video recording in Padang as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.
The head of the Padang SAR said the victim who was found dead was immediately taken to the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr Muhammad Zein Painan for the identification process.
Meanwhile, the search in the Bayang sub-district sector until Tuesday afternoon the team has not succeeded in finding flood victims and landslides that have been reported missing. Likewise with the search for victims in the Tarusan sector which has not yielded results.
According to standard operating procedures (SOP), the search for missing victims due to natural disasters is carried out for seven days. This means that Wednesday (12/3) is the last day of the search. If the other five victims are not found, SAR and other relevant agencies will conduct an evaluation.
With the discovery of one victim in the XI Tarusan area, it means that 31 victims have died as a result of the disaster. The local government together with SAR and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and other agencies continue to try to find five other victims who have not been found.
