Note, These Are Types Of Entertainment Places In Jakarta That Must Close During Ramadan To Eid Al-Fitr

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government requires a number of entertainment venues not to operate during the month of Ramadan 1445 H to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

This is stated in the Circular of the Head of the DKI Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Number e-0003/SE/2024 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Businesses in the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 1445 H/2024 AD.

The types of entertainment venues that must be closed in the SE are nightclubs, discotheques, steam baths, massage houses, scarcity game arenas for adults, as well as bars or drinking houses.

"A certain type of tourism business must be closed on 1 day before the holy month of Ramadan until 1 day after the second day of Eid al-Fitr," said Head of DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Andhika Permata in SE, Sunday, March 10.

However, the DKI Jakarta Disparekraf excluded the ban on the operation of entertainment venues in question during Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr if the tourism business premises are in 4-star hotels and 5-star hotels and commercial areas.

"Especially for nightclubs and discotheque businesses, which are held to be integrated with a minimum 4-star hotel area and commercial areas and not close to residential areas, houses of worship, schools and/or hospitals, except from the provisions," explained Andhika.

However, there are still special provisions in nightclubs to drinking houses that can still operate in 4-star hotels and commercial areas, namely: a. nightclub from 20.30 WIB to 01.30 WIB; b. discotheques from 20.30 WIB to 01.30 WIB; c. steam baths from 11.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB;d. massage houses from 11.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB;e. manual, mechanical and/or electronic game arenas for adults starting at 11.00 WIB until 01.30 WIB; f. self-standing bars/dating houses ranging from 11.00 WIB to 01.00 WIB; dang. bars/dang. bars that support certain tourism businesses follow the time of organizing their main business activities.

Meanwhile, entertainment venues such as karaoke can still operate during Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr with the provision of operating hours at 20.30-01.30 WIB for executive karaoke businesses and 14.00-02.00 WIB for family karaoke businesses.

In the type of billiards or sodok house business, operations are also allowed. The provisions, which are located in one room with an executive karaoke business starting at 20.30 WIB until 01.30 WIB and located not in one room with entertainment venues that must be closed from 11.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.

Then, the DKI Disparekraf requires all entertainment venues regulated in this SE to completely close operations at a certain time. Namely on one day before the holy month of Ramadan, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, the night of Nuzulul Qur'an, one day before Eid al-Fitr or Takbiran night, as well as the first and second day of Eid al-Fitr.

Not only regulating operating hours, SE also stipulates the rules that apply during the month of Ramadan for the implementation of tourism businesses, namely the prohibition of installing billboards/posters/publicity, as well as other film performances and performances that are pornographic, pornographic and erotic. Then, the prohibition of causing disturbances to the environment, and the prohibition of providing gifts in any form and type.

"In addition, there is also a prohibition on providing opportunities to make bets or gambling, trafficking and drug use, and must respect or maintain a conducive atmosphere in the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. As for the tourism business in the field of food and beverage services that is not regulated in this circular, it is recommended to wear a curtain so that it is not seen in its entirety," explained Andhika.

Through the Circular, Andhika hopes that tourism business organizers can maintain a conducive atmosphere in the month of Ramadan to Eid Al-Fitr.

He also said that his party would impose sanctions on tourism businesses that violate the rules and regulations that had been set.

"This Circular is made for the common good and it is hoped that tourism business actors can follow the rules that have been set," he added.
