Vinicius Saves Madrid Face, Holds Sociedad 1-1

JAKARTA - Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad in La Liga after Vinicius Junior's late goal saved Los Blancos from defeat.

Playing at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, on Tuesday morning WIB, Madrid was able to attack the Sociedad defense. However, until halftime the 0-0 score did not change.

Launching Antara, Sociedad was able to excel first in the second half through Portu. Madrid survived the defeat after Vinicius Junior scored a late goal.

Madrid are now in third place with 53 points, losing on goal difference with Barcelona in second place. El Real's distance from their city rivals Atletico Madrid is also five points. Meanwhile, Sociedad is fifth with 42 points.

Madrid was able to control the game over Sociedad from the early minutes. Los Blancos' first shot came in the 10th minute from Casemiro, but the defenders blocked it.

Sociedad did not remain silent and threatened in the 16th minute. Andoni Gorosabel's shot from the side of the penalty box was still pushed over by Thibaut Courtois.

Madrid successively fired shots into the Sociedad defense midway through the first half.

The difficulty of penetrating the opponent's penalty box made the El Real players try to shoot shots from outside the penalty box, but none of them aimed at the goal.

The only shot on goal from Madrid in the first half took place in the 43rd minute. Luka Modric's shot from outside the penalty box was pushed over by goalkeeper Alex Remiro.
