BYD Presents Life Insurance For Atto 3 In China

In order to attract consumers, recently a number of manufacturers have dared to provide life insurance for batteries for the purchase of electric vehicles. For example, a number of brands such as Wuling, Chery, MG, and Neta that provide this offer for electric vehicles in Indonesia.

BYD, one of China's automotive companies, also did the same. However, this offer applies to the purchase of the Atto 3 model specifically for consumers of bamboo curtain countries.

Reporting from TopGear Philippines, Friday, March 8, the manufacturer only provides the warranty for the owner of the first vehicle or cannot be moved. The company will bear all the damage not only batteries but also electric motors, batteries, and inverters.

In addition, the car, called the Yuan Plus in China, has a new variant called Honor Edition and gets an update consisting of the latest infotainment software with a larger screen.

In detail, the dimensions of BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition remain the same, with a length of 4,455 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, and a height of 1,615 mm, and a wheelbase of 2720 mm, slightly smaller than Volkswagen Tiguan.

Yuan Plus Honor Edition has a single electric motor at the front doubler that generates a power of 150 kW and a torque of 310 Nm. The car is powered by two LFP optional batteries from Findreams: 49.92 kWh for a CLTC range of 430 km and 60.48 kWh for a CLTC range of 510 km.

Like its predecessor, BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition is available at five trim levels. The price of each trim is reduced by 16,000 yuan or around Rp. 34 million. It is also part of BYD's strategy to expand the electric car market share by attracting gasoline car users to switch to electric cars.

The price of this crossover is more affordable at 16,000 yuan or around Rp. 34 million compared to before, with the current price reaching 119,800 yuan (around Rp. 261 million).
