Old Players Strike Again, 10 Motorbikes Are Stolen, 3 People Enter Bars
JAKARTA - The Subdit Resmob Team of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya arrested three recurring motorbike thieves who fled to Lampung. The perpetrator stole 10 motorbikes in East Jakarta and Depok.
"They are old players and most of them are recidivists with the same cases. They leave (prison) and then play (steal) again," said Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus at Polda Metro Jaya, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 1. .
When questioned by the police, the three of them admitted to having acted 10 times.
"He has only admitted it for 10 times, but we are still investigating it," he said.
The three suspects have the initials AKS (25), DS (26), and J (35). The three of them were arrested on February 23 in East Lampung.
During the arrest, the police also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence, including five motorbikes and a T key that was used to break the motorcycle lock.
"There are five items of evidence we secure motor vehicles, including the key T. Their mode is to monitor the area that is the target. Usually the shophouses over the boarding houses at night," said Yusri.
In addition, Yusri said that from the results of the investigation on the suspect, it was found that the suspect with the initials AKS admitted to having committed theft to buy drugs.
"One of the perpetrators of the AKS initials was due to dependence, the result was to buy illegal goods. His confession was like that," said Yusri.
The perpetrators were charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with the threat of 7 years in prison.
