UK Energy Minister 'Intip' Titab Micro Hydro Power Plant Project In Bali
JAKARTA - British Minister of Energy Security and Net Zero Graham Stuart visited the Project of Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH) as a result of Indonesia-England cooperation at the Titab Dam, Buleleng Regency, Bali. "It is very nice to be able to return to Indonesia, a country with a rapidly growing economy and has great potential to develop renewable energy," said Graham Stuart quoting Antara. His party is also happy when observing directly the UK's support in an effort to facilitate the improvement of the Titab Dam managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing into a microhydro-based power plant. According to him, the construction of PLTMH, which is a collaboration between Indonesia and the UK, is part of the MENTARI program which is expected to be able to make a real contribution to local communities in Buleleng Regency, access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy, and in line with the energy transition road map of the Island of the Gods. "The UK is proud to take part in the journey of the renewable energy transition in Indonesia through the MENTARI program. The hydroelectric power plant at Tinab Dam is a real proof of a good partnership," he said. According to him, the collaboration is to realize the purpose of Indonesia's energy transition, in line with the 75-year celebration of diplomatic relations between Britain and Indonesia this year. Furthermore, his party also wants to congratulate Indonesia on the success of elections on February 14. As the biggest one day election in the world, elections in Indonesia are an impressive achievement and reaffirm Indonesia as a leading democratic country.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Brantas Energi Satiyobudi Santoso said that his party appreciated the involvement of PT Brantas Energi in collaboration between the Indonesian government and the UK in the development of a hydro mini power plant at the Titab Dam. The project not only efficiently utilizes the dam infrastructure owned by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, but also makes a real contribution to sustainable development efforts in Indonesia. "We are committed to continuing to support the government's initiative to expand the use of renewable energy and provide direct benefits to local communities through this project," he explained.
