Increase Payroll Technology, Deel Acquires PaySpace

JAKARTA Deel, developer of the Human Resources (HR) platform, acquired PaySpace, a Payroll company and an African HR solution provider. The announcement was shared on Wednesday, March 6.

PaySpace has been developing Payroll technology for more than 20 years. The company provides Payroll instruments and HR services in 44 countries. In terms of scale and range, PaySpace presents powerful technology and expertise.

By acquiring PaySpace, Deel believes he can be the first Empty of Record (EOR) with full-stack Payroll instruments.Deel also has the potential to become a record system for HR organizations that provide a simple interface around the world.

Deel CEO Alex Bouaziz said that his company wants to create the most comprehensive payroll system in the world. Therefore, Deel decided to acquire PaySpace.

"The expertise in PaySpace's single platform payroll and its wide scope, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, combined with PayGroup's existence in Asia Pacific, will provide the reach Deel's customers need for their global business development," Alex said in a received release.

Meanwhile, PaySpace Director van Wyk said that Deel had the same development process as his company. With this acquisition, Wyk stated that thepayroll technology they made would not be matched.

"This acquisition combines the leading work service and technology expertisepayroll, generating a unique and effective proposition for customers with unmatched automation, flexibility and scalability," Wyk said.

Some time ago, Deel also announced that his company had acquired Zavvy, a human empowerment platform that includes career development, performance management, and training programs.

In 2022, Deel also acquired PayGroup Limited, a Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) company in Asia Pacific. The company has strategically succeeded in improving the existence of Deel in the Asia Pacific region.
