Anniversary Of The Firefighters, Anies: Thank You For Catching The Snake Until Removing The Ring
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan gave his appreciation to the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Disgulkarmat) on the 102nd anniversary of Firefighters Indonesia.
Anies is proud of his staff because they are prepared to carry out the call of duty, including the courage to extinguish the flames.
"Realize that the greatest strength of an officer is readiness. What are you ready to do? Carry out a call of duty, dare to face challenges, including the courage to face the red rooster. Everything is done with great seriousness and courage", said Anies in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Youtube broadcast, Monday, 1 March.
Anies thanked the officers who sincerely carried out tasks that were often unimaginable before. Apart from extinguishing the fire, the fire department also often made rescue efforts.
"Thank you for the dedication of the officers doing what is often unimaginable. Including handling wild animals, catching snakes, saving objects from the height of buildings, including saving people from collapsed buildings", said Anies.
"In fact, there is a unique (rescue task). Asked to help remove the ring from the finger", he continued.
Anies said that firefighting duty is a noble thing. This is because when people move away from the point of a disaster in an incident, firefighters actually approach the disaster location to control it.
"Don't ever feel ashamed to be a firefighter. This is an honor. This is a noble task. This is a profession that gives a message of extraordinary dedication", he said.
