Grammy Hall Of Fame Will Be Held Again After Two Years Of Vacuum
JAKARTA - After two years of vacuum, the Grammy Hall of Fame will be held again. Gala and concerts will be held at the NOVO Theater, Los Angeles, United States on May 21.
The Grammy Museum through its official Instagram account informs the return of the Grammy Hall Of Fame.
"It's been a month since #GRAMY, but we are continuing to celebrate music with the return of the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame!" wrote the Grammy Museum in the caption of the upload, Tuesday, March 5.
The Recording Academy will bring some changes to the Hall Of Fame, the reason for being more selective in making decisions.
Over the years, about 25 records were sworn in every year. This is felt to make the inauguration less special than intended. As a result, currently there are 1,152 records at the Grammy Hall of Fame.
This year's Grammy Hall Of Fame will only inaugurate ten records, including four albums and six singles.
Gala #GRAMYMuseun will inaugurate 4 albums and 6 singles to join the current 1,152 recordings at the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame on May 21.
In addition, the announcement of the Grammy Hall Of Fame recipients will also be more lively than in previous years.
The Grammy Hall of Fame Gala at the Grammy Museum will be the first event planned as an annual event. The event will be preceded by a red carpet and VIP reception at Ray Charles Terrace, the Grammy Museum.
For information, the Grammy Hall Of Fame was founded in 1973 in honor of records that have a qualitative meaning or lasting history, released before the appearance of the Grammy Awards in 1958. However, regulations have been changed to allow any recording of at least 25 years old.
The person appointed is chosen annually by a professional committee drawn from all the recorded arts with final ratification by the Recording Academy national supervisory board.
Ten people who were sworn in this year, and information about performers at the Grammy concert will be announced in the future.
