Terran Orbital Terima Kontrak Pembuatan Satelit Untuk Kebutuhan Militer AS Senilai Rp236 Miliar
JAKARTA Terran Orbital, a satellite manufacturer from the United States, received a satellite manufacturing contract worth 15 million US dollars (Rp236 billion). This contract was made by the cyberspace company Axient Corp.
Based on the announcement shared on the company's blog, Terran will create two Ambassador satellites to support US Space Force (USSF) experiments. The satellite will launch for the upcoming USSF mission.
After receiving a contract from Axian, Chief Executive of Terran Orbital, Marc Bell, promised speed in making the satellite. Bell believes that the Ambassador satellite is capable of being produced and delivered in just a few months.
"Indicating Terran Orbital's commitment to theResponsive Space, this space vehicle will be delivered from the Terran Orbital production line in less than twelve months," Bell said on Tuesday, March 5.

Bell added that this satellite will be similar to the Tiranche 1 Transport Layer (T1TL) satellite produced for the Space Development Agency. Just like Axian, the satellite was created under Lockheed Martin's contract.
In September last year, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) appointed Axient as a supporter of an integrated space experiment for three years. The company received a contract worth 25 million US dollars (Rp. 393 billion).
In order for small satellite experiments to be managed for military purposes, Axian asked Terran to produce the Ambassador satellite. Later, this satellite will be integrated into the ESPA Grande platform, a payload adapter designed for therideshare mission.
The ESPA Grande is usually used for small US security payloads. Once the Ambassador is produced, the satellite made by Terran will be the largest satellite allowed to operate on the interface OF the Grande's VESPA for therideshare mission.
