The Cause Of Losing Tyson From Douglas 31 Years Ago: Sex Party With Maid And Japanese Girl

JAKARTA - Do you still remember the big battle between Mike Tyson and James "Buster" Douglas 31 years ago? Yes, in the first match, Tyson lost for the first time.

In his 2013 autobiography Undisputed Truth, Tyson reveals the cause of his defeat to Douglas.

It says that before the match Tyson was too busy partying and making love to women. Yes, Iron Mike is famous for his party-like lifestyle

Tyson is the undefeated world heavyweight champion. In this fight, he was expected to crush his underdogs.

Tyson is 37-0 and has only gone over seven rounds once before his match with Douglas. At that time, the name Douglas was not given the chance at all by the Las Vegas bookmaker.

But as it turned out, Tyson barely trained at all for the fight. Promoter Don King even had to pull Tyson out of the sparring session after partner Greg Page made Tyson look like an amateur.

“On January 8, 1990, I got on a plane to fly to Tokyo. Kick and scream. I don't want to fight; all I was interested in at the time was partying and making love", Tyson later wrote in his autobiography.

When Iron Mike finally arrived in Tokyo, he was overweight. And even though he was finally able to get his weight back to ideal, his preparations were still not serious.

“Apart from having sex with a maid, I saw young Japanese girls who had sex with me the last time I was in Japan.

"Robin (Tyson's wife) went shopping and I was going down to the back of the hotel where this girl was staying ... So that was my training session before fighting Douglas".

As the fight draws near, Tyson continues his sexual adventures.

"The day before the fight, I also had two servants at the same time. And then two more girls, one by one, the night before the fight".

It's not just Tyson in personal. Neither did the concrete neck team prepare for the fight against Douglas. They didn't even bother carrying the ice pack, assuming Douglas wouldn't hurt his opponent.

Although Tyson knocked Douglas out in the eighth round, "Buster" recovered to end the fight two rounds later. Tyson also suffered the first defeat in his professional career.

"It wasn't Tyson who used to get into the ring", Tyson later admitted. “It was clear to anyone watching that I really didn't want to be there. The fight started and I fought horribly".
