The Governor Of Kaltara Will Blacklist Contractors If The DPRD Building Is Not Accommodated 100 Percent
TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Zainal A Paliwang will impose strict sanctions on contractors or third parties who are unable to complete work on time, especially since they have received an extension of their work time or addendum.
One of those who received the spotlight was the construction of the Kaltara Provincial DPRD building.
"The Kaltara Provincial Government has given the Addendum to the construction of a new building for the Kaltara DPRD, but failed to complete the development target which matured in December 2023," said Governor Zainal, Monday, March 4.
The Kaltara Provincial Government, continued Governor Zainal, provides addendums for 50 days of extension of service period, and returns to provide addendums for 40 working days in 2024.
"If the contractor does not complete the construction, we will blacklist it, during the construction period of this building (DPRD caltara) the Kaltara Provincial Government has also given a loan to the Contractor. Every day it is also obliged to pay the fines that have been regulated in the cooperation contract," he said.
"There are already calculations and PUPR. The longer it is completed, the more fines the contractor must pay. This is also a form of our firm action to contractors who fail to complete their activities," continued the Governor.
The governor added that the second addendum period given by the provincial government will end this March.
"We ask that this March be 100 percent completed, the contractor must respect it in accordance with his work contract. If it is not completed, it must be prepared with the consequences," he said.
