Porsche 718 EV Version Boxster Middle Trial In Sweden With Lack Of Camouflage Stickers

JAKARTA - The year 2024 will be a busy period for automotive companies such as Porsche. In addition to preparing high-performance electric vehicles (EVs) such as the Taycan Turbo GT, manufacturers are also working on other electrification models.

Reporting from Carscoops, Monday, March 4, the manufacturer is currently developing a successor to the 718 Boxster with an electric powertrain in Sweden, Lapland, across the Arctic Circle. In this test, the model appears more open with few camouflage stickers.

As a result, the front features a new design with a headlights similar to Taycan and Tigers, equipped with quad-LED DRL technology. Meanwhile, the back features an elongated sleek horizontal LED unit.

Porsche claims that this forward light technology, which was introduced last year, can provide lighting up to a distance of 600 meters and will be useful, especially when driving on rural roads with minimal lighting at night.

Although the car has some parts disguised, including a small cover on the bumper and a body side that blocks the final details of the bodywork, it is not yet certain whether the manufacturer will maintain traditional side ventilation as it switches to electric drive.

On the inside, the car adopts a similar design to Taycan, Tiger EV, 718 Boxster, and Cayman Coupe, with dual screen settings consisting of instrument panels and infotainment systems located in the center console.

The dashboard comes with a smoother look, combining sensitive touch with a classic button and switch. Under the middle screen there are aircraft-style switch buttons, climate ventilation, and double USB ports.

The next-generation Porsche 718 Boxster will carry the electric car architecture SSP Sport for electric vehicles. The platform is claimed to have lightweight construction and flexibility in rear drive and all wheels.

This car will be available with a wide selection of battery sizes and electric motors with varying power output. The base version will have a single electric motor behind, while the version with all-wheel drive will be equipped with a double electric motor, generating about 400 dk of power.
