List Of Seven Indonesian Athletes Who Have Qualified For The 2024 Olympics
JAKARTA Indonesia already has seven athletes who ensure that they get tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The most recently obtained ticket by surf athlete, Rio Waida. He qualified for the ninth repechage round in the 2024 ISA World Surfing Games Qualification at Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Before Rio, two of the six athletes who had already pocketed tickets to Paris were male archery athlete Arif Dwi Pangestu, and female archery athlete Diananda Choirunisa.
Arif confirmed himself to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics after qualifying for the semifinals at the 2023 Archery World Championship which took place in Berlin, Germany, on August 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, Diananda confirmed tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympics after receiving a bronze medal in the recurve mixed team number with Riau Ega Agata Salsabila at the 2023 Asian Games Hangzhou, China.
In addition to appearing in individual numbers, Arif Dwi Pangestu and Diananda Choirunisa will also appear as pairs in mixed teams or mixed doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The next ticket belongs to Indonesian artistic gymnastics athlete, Rifda Irfanaluthfi. He qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics after appearing at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastic Championship in Antwerp, Belgium, October 2, 2023.
Furthermore, the Indonesian men's shooting athlete, Fathur Gustafian, also qualified for the 2024 Olympics. He went to Paris after finishing fourth in the men's 10-meter wind rifle final in the 2024 Asian Rifle in Senayan, Jakarta, January 10, 2024.
Meanwhile, the remaining two tickets are owned by the men's rock climbing athlete, Rahmad Adi Mulyono, and the women's rock climbing athlete, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi.
Rahmad confirmed tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympics after winning the IFSC Asian Qualifier 2023 Rock Climbing Championship which took place in Jakarta on November 12, 2023.
Desak secured a place for the 2024 Paris Olympics after winning the 2023 IFSC Rock Climbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland, August 2023.
