Good News! Jabodebek LRT Promo Tariffs Of A Maximum Of IDR 10,000 Extended Until The End Of March

The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation has extended the implementation of the Jabodebek LRT promo rate to a maximum of IDR 10,000. With this promo rate extension, it is hoped that it can increase public interest in using public transportation.

Director of Traffic and Rail Transportation, Arif Anwar, said that the Jabodebek LRT promo rate of a maximum of IDR 10,000 was extended until March 31, 2024.

He also said that the extension of the promo rate was in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 67 of 2023 concerning Transportation Tariffs for People With Light Trains Integrated in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi Regions to Implement Public Service Obligations.

"This promo is carried out by providing a Public Service Obligation (PSO) subsidy so that the tariff is more affordable for the community," said Arif in an official statement, Friday, March 1.

Furthermore, Arif said the maximum tariff of IDR 10,000 applies during non-busy hours or off peak hour on weekdays Monday to Friday.

The time of non-busy hours on weekdays is set at the start of operating hours until 05.59 WIB, then at 09.00 WIB to 15.59 WIB, and at 20.00 WIB until the end of operating hours.

"Mondays to Fridays outside of peak hours (Off Peak Hour) a maximum of Rp. 10,000. Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays are also a maximum of Rp. 10,000," he said.

Meanwhile, continued Arif, for working days Monday to Friday, the Jabodebek LRT tariff imposed is IDR 3,000 for the first 1 kilometer (km) and will be charged IDR 700 for each next km and a maximum rate of IDR 20,000.

Busy hours on weekdays are set for operating hours from 06.00 WIB to 08.59 WIB. Then 16.00 WIB to 19.59 WIB.

"Hopefully this promo tariff extension can attract people even more to switch to leaving their private vehicles," said Arif.
