Chairman of the DKPP Heddy Lugito said the complaint was registered with case number 4-PKE-DKPP/I/2024. The complaint was submitted by a resident from Jember, East Java, named Rico Nurfiansyah Ali as the Chair of the Election Monitoring from the Election Education Network for the People in East Java.

Rico as the complainant of the case was present virtually through an online meeting application, while the KPU chairman was present in person along with a number of commissioners, but KPU Commissioner August Mellaz was present virtually.
At the point of his complaint, Rico explained that his complaint was based on a number of reports in the mass media on November 29, 2023, regarding the hacked DPT data.
With the alleged leak, Rico said the defendants violated the accountable principle as stipulated in the provisions of Article 6 Paragraph 2 letter B and Article 6 Paragraph 3 letter f of DKPP Regulation Number 2 of 2017 concerning Election Organizer Code of Ethics.
"I should be worried that my data will also be leaked," said Rico.
Therefore, he asked the DKPP assembly to decide to accept complaints, declare that the defendants violated the code of ethics, and impose sanctions on dismissal of the defendants.
