Ahead Of The Implementation Of The Powerboat F1, Racers And Logistics Begin To Arrive In Toba

JAKARTA - Ahead of the F1 Powerboat which is only a matter of days, racers and logistics have started arriving at Lake Toba. Later, the racers who participate in this international motorboat racing event will conduct a circuit trial.

For your information, PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney will again present F1 Powerboat at Lake Toba, North Sumatra. This international racing event will be held from 2 to 3 March 2024.

InJourney Tourism Marketing and Program Director Maya Watono explained that the preparation for the implementation of the Powerboat F1 has 99 percent, both infrastructure and event readiness.

In fact, continued Maya, racers who will compete have started arriving at Lake Toba, North Sumatra.

"For the readiness of this Powerboat F1, we have basically 99 percent, riders have also started arriving two days ago," he said at a virtual press conference for the readiness of the 2024 Lake Toba F1, Tuesday, February 27.

Maya said as many as 18 top racers will compete quickly on the world's largest volcanic lake. This event will also be supported by 200 crew members from various countries.

This F1 Powerboat will be attended by 18 international riders from more than 10 countries. And there are 200 crew members who support it from various countries," he explained.

Apart from racers, Maya also revealed that the logistics of the Powerboat F1 have arrived. He said, this logistics entered Indonesia through the port of Belawan, North Sumatra.

Logistics has also started arriving three days ago. This is more than 100 tons of logistics that came to Belawan Port, challenging because from Belawan Port you have to go by container land route to get to Balige (event location)," he said.

Furthermore, continued Maya, in the next two days the racers will conduct a trial circuit that has been prepared before the racing event is held.

Then in the next two days the boat (ship) has started to descend to Lake Toba and also tried the circuit that we have made, together with the riders. So the readiness is very ready," he said.
