IKN Has Swallowed A Budget Of IDR 68.59 Trillion, This Is A Series Of Basic Infrastructures Built
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the megaproject of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has cost the state budget (APBN) up to Rp68.59 trillion to date.
Head of the IKN Development Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of PUPR Danis H Sumadilaga said the total realization of the budget was distributed through 89 work packages.
"Currently, the Ministry of PUPR is building basic facilities and infrastructure to support the development of IKN with a total fund of approximately Rp68.6 trillion which is distributed into 89 construction work packages," said Danis on the agenda of the 2024 HPRP Law and Regulation Outlook: Towards the New Capital City of the Archipelago in Jakarta, Monday, February 26.
Danis detailed that the jumbo budget for the APBN was allocated to build basic infrastructure in IKN. Starting from the construction of the presidential palace, the office of the Coordinating Ministry, the provision of drinking water and sanitation systems to toll roads.
"This is a fairly good installation of clean water management. Hopefully, this toll road will become an access later to IKN, not through the old road," he said.

As a whole, the IKN construction project is currently divided into 2 stages of development. Phase 1 covers 40 work packages with physical progress reaching 74.87 percent as of February 15, 2024. Meanwhile, for the (batch) 2 stage, 49 work packages have been running with progress reaching 24 percent.
In preparation for welcoming the August 17 Ceremony in the IKN area, almost all of its infrastructure is included in the construction of Batch 1. For example, the presidential office building, state palaces and ceremonial fields which have reached 56.37 percent. Meanwhile, the progress of the presidential office itself has now reached 74.94 percent.
Then, for the construction of the toll road which is the main access to the IKN area, it is currently running in three sections, namely Section 3A Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau along 13.4 km with a progress of 70.9 percent.
Furthermore, Section 3B KKT Kariangau- Tempadung Intersection is 7.3 km long with progress reaching 70 percent and Section 5A Simpang Tempadung-Jembatan Pulau Balang along 6.7 km with progress of 77.8 percent.
