JAKARTA - Fourteen years later, the bullet used by Mark David Chapman to kill John Lennon will be auctioned off. The plan, the auction will be held this week in Newcastle, England.

For information, John Lennon died after the shooting incident in New York, United States on December 8, 1980. Mark David Chapman as the perpetrator has been sentenced to twenty years in prison for life.

Chapman has applied for 12 paroles, but was denied. In an interview with one of the parole councils, he acknowledged his actions.

"I know what I did, and I know it was evil. I know it was wrong, but I really wanted fame so much that I was willing to give everything and take human lives. I wouldn't blame anyone else or anyone for taking me there," Chapman said.
