Tickets For The 2024 Eid Period Train Have Been Sold For 210,000 Seats
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the total sales of train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr departure period from D-10 to D-3 have reached 210,944 tickets or 24 percent of the total tickets that can be ordered as many as 888,583 tickets.
KAI's VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that out of this total, the most ticket purchases occurred on April 7 or D-3 Eid Al-Fitr 2024. Where tickets were sold reached more than 30,000.
"A total of 30,637 tickets or 28 percent of the total sold for departure on Eid D-3," he said in an official statement, Thursday, February 22.
Joni also said that the dominance of bookings in the period from D-10 to D-3 Eid al-Fitr is train tickets from the West (West Java and Jakarta) to the East (Central Java and East Java).
"A number of train trips have reached 100 percent for departures from West to East on certain days ahead of Eid-days such as Argo Bromo Anggrek, Argo Wilis, Taksaka, Brantas, and others," said Joni.
So far, continued Joni, the people's favorite routes during the Eid Transport period are Jakarta-Surabaya, Jakarta-Solo, Bandung-Blitar, Jakarta-Purwokerto, Jakarta-Malang, and other relations.
"If the desired ticket runs out, the customer can select an alternative date and route or take advantage of the Connecting Train feature in the Access by KAI application which will help provide travel options by combining a connecting train schedule," he said.
Furthermore, Joni also said that KAI continues to make the latest innovations to improve services to passengers, one of which is by implementing a queue system when purchasing long-distance train tickets.
Joni explained that the queue system feature or waiting room is an online queue system applied by KAI to the Access by KAI application and the booking.kai.id website when booking tickets to regulate ticket booking flow in a more organized manner, especially during high booking traffic.
"This feature helps ensure that websites and apps remain stable and users can order tickets more fairly and regularly," he explained.
