Regarding The Termination Of Sound Recapitulation In Districts, KPU Calls Only Those Who Have Not Synchronized With Sirekap
Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari opened his voice about the news of the termination of the 2024 General Election recapitulation at the sub-district level.
Hasyim said that the termination of the vote recapitulation was only carried out in areas that had a non-synchronous C1 form polling place (TPS) with data conversion in the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap).
"For those who have not been synchronized, we will not broadcast this first. So then, what is meant by being temporarily suspended. It does not stop completely, yes, no," said Hasyim at a press conference at the KPU office, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 19.
Meanwhile, TPS-TPS which does not have problems in data suitability with Sirekap continues its recapitulation at the sub-district level.
In the recapitulation of votes in the sub-district, the sub-district electoral committee (PPK) reopened the ballot boxes from the polling station and issued a C. form. results to adjust the vote acquisition data.
"Form C results will be read out by PPK in the open recapitulation meeting of the sub-district-level vote count results, while broadcast it, which is Sirekap web," explained Hasyim.
"Well, if the broadcast with the results is not appropriate, then it makes people confused to avoid problems in the field, especially at the sub-district level," he continued.
Hasyim emphasized that the data used in the recapitulation of votes is a C. form resulting from each polling station. Meanwhile, Sirekap is only limited to a means of transparency of the vote count process.
"What is used as a reference for recapitulation at the sub-district level is the C form produced by KPPS or TPS which of course hard copies stored in ballot boxes, issued, and then read out in plenary meetings recapitulation of vote count results at the sub-district level," he explained.

Previously, PDI-P politician Deddy Yevri Sitorus revealed information regarding the termination of the recapitulation of votes at the sub-district level.
Deddy, who is also a PDIP candidate for the North Kalimantan (Kaltara) electoral district, admitted that he was surprised to hear the termination of the recapitulation process for Election votes at the sub-district level in Kaltara.
"There is information in the regions that the Central KPU ordered the termination of the recapitulation of votes at the sub-district level, which was not consulted with Election participants and Commission II of the DPR," said Deddy Yevri in an official statement, Sunday, February 18.
Deddy assessed that the KPU had legally stopped the recapitulation process. However, he continued, the conditions are in a force majeure condition. For example, during the earthquake or mass riots.
"We got information that the reason for the termination was because the Sirekap system experienced problems in the data reading. Even though Sirekap is not an official and legal vote counting method. The vote count recommendation is a tiered recapitulation, or a manual C1," he said.
