President Jokowi Inaugurates TNI AD Abdul Rais Fatah Hospital In Kaltara
President Joko Widodo accompanied by Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, inaugurated the State Defense Center Hospital (RSPPN) of the Great Commander Sudirman and 25 TNI-owned hospitals in Jakarta.
Of the total 25 TNI Hospitals (RS), one Level IV hospital was virtually inaugurated, namely Abdul Rais Fatah Hospital which was built by the Army (AD) in the Jalan Semangka area, Tanjung Selor, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan (Kaltara).
The Commander of Korem (Danrem) 092/Maharajalla, Brigadier General Inf. Adek Chandra Kurniawan, revealed that Abdul Rais Fatah Hospital has prepared four basic services, namely outpatient installations, maternity installations, 4 polyclinics, 2 operating rooms, treatment rooms, and 2 VIP rooms.
"But, for now, we cannot fully serve the maximum because there is still a shortage of health workers (Nakes) and specialist doctors who we are still submitting to the Army Health Center (PUSKESAD)," said Danrem 092/Maharajalila.
His party targets that by the end of 2024 all facilities can operate optimally to serve the TNI and the general community.
"In addition, Abdul Rais Fatah Hospital will also serve BPJS patients, currently the administrative process with BPJS Kesehatan is in process," he said.
Adek explained that currently the hospital only has three health workers, namely two doctors and analysts.
"We need 101 health workers for this hospital, maybe later we will establish cooperation with hospitals in Tanjung Selor. It is hoped that this hospital can provide affordable and quality services to the community," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Kaltara, Zainal Arifin Paliwang, appreciated the presence of the TNI AD hospital in the capital city of Kaltara Province (Tanjung Selor).
"We are grateful because Tanjung Selor is the location for the construction of Abdul Rais Fatah Hospital, this is part of an effort to equalize health services in Kaltara," said Zainal.
Moreover, in the provincial capital of Kaltara, there is only one hospital, namely the Regional Hospital (RSD) dr. H. Soemarno Sosroadmodjo belonging to the Bulungan Regency Government.
"I am also proud of the naming of this hospital (Abdul Rais Fatah) which was taken from the name of a TNI AD soldier from Bulungan," he said.
The governor hopes that in addition to serving TNI soldiers and their families, this hospital can also serve the general public.
"We hope that the medical personnel and specialist doctors will be filled as soon as possible so that they can operate optimally. The room is quite good and modern," he explained.
