Perpetrators Of Stabbing Legislative Candidates In Banjarmasin Are Still Being Hunted By The Police

BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin Police Criminal and Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) is still investigating the stabbing case of a candidate for legislative member (caleg) on Jalan Tunas Baru, Banjarmasin City on Sunday (18/2).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banjarmasin Police, Kompol Thomas Afrian, said the stabbing case using the knife hit MS (54), a candidate from PKS in the 2024 election.

"The stabbing perpetrator is still at large, we have not been able to convey detailed information because it is in the interest of arrests," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 19.

He said the victim suffered several cuts to the left neck, right arm, left arm, and left abdomen.

Thomas explained that the incident began when the victim was outside his house about to buy necessities. When the victim was about to return home carrying groceries, the perpetrator was already waiting at the crime scene (TKP).

The perpetrator immediately attacked the victim using a knife approximately three times a stab at the victim's body in the neck, stomach, and arms.

After injuring the victim, said Thomas, the perpetrator immediately fled, while the victim was rushed to the local hospital by the surrounding community.
