Kemendikbudristek Reminds PTN To Set UKT Based On Tungal Lecture Fee Standards
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has asked state universities (PTN) to be wise in determining the single lecture money tariff (UKT) for each study program (prodi).
"Universities must be inclusive, it must be accessible to all levels of society. For this reason, be careful in determining UKT rates, do not increase UKT. He explained that SSBOPT is a mandate of Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, which states that the government needs to establish SSBOPT periodically.
The stipulation of SSBOPT by the government must consider the achievement of the National Standard for Higher Education, types of study programs, and the regional expensive index.
The SSBOPT is the basis for allocating the APBN budget for State Universities and determining BKT for each study program in the diploma and undergraduate program.
For this year, the Ministry of Education and Culture regulates through Permendikbudristek Number 2 of 2024 concerning Standards for the Operational Costs of Higher Education at State Universities in the Ministry of Education and Culture.
