Telan Rp140.36 Billion, Auditorium And Entrepreneurship Building Universitas Brawijaya Inaugurated
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has inaugurated the Brawijaya Auditorium and the Integrated Entrepreneurship Building of Universitas Brawijaya in Malang City, East Java.
"We hope that this small contribution can be put to good use for the advancement of Universitas Brawijaya, whose alumni have worked a lot at PUPR as well," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a written statement, quoted Monday, February 19.
The construction of the Brawijaya Auditorium Building will be held from October 2021 to April 2023 with a contract value of IDR 140.367 billion.
The main function of the Brawijaya Auditorium Building is to organize various activities with a capacity of 800 people. The Auditorium is equipped with a telescopic chair, lighting system, adequate sound system and is equipped with an acoustic panel. Thus, it is more soundproof. There is also a parking space in this building.
The Brawijaya Auditorium Building itself has six (6) floors with a building area of 9,579 square meters. This building has a modern architecture concept that lifts the local wisdom of the Majapahit architecture. Thus, the appearance of the building is dominated by exposable bricks with the design concept of the Brawijaya University area.
Meanwhile, the construction of the Integrated Entrepreneurship Building which was carried out was six (6) floors covering an area of 4,194 square meters on the 5th floor to the 10th floor. Thus, the total area of the building is 7,294 square meters.

It is known, the previous construction only reached the 4th floor, then continued from 5th to 10th floors. Thus, this building can function as planned. Later, this building will accommodate various activities in research laboratories.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Universitas Brawijaya Widodo said that his party promised to make the best use of these two buildings. Not only for daily lectures, but also as a means of entrepreneurship and laboratories for international research.
"Thank you to the Minister of PUPR and his staff for their kindness so that this building is one of the milestones of Universitas Brawijaya and motivation for all of us to improve the education process for the younger generation in the future," he said.
