Mayor Of Solo Gibran Immediately Blusukan After Being Inaugurated, Saturday-Sunday Is Not A Holiday
SOLO - Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Teguh Prakosa are officially the mayor and deputy mayor of Surakarta. Gibran went straight to work after the inauguration.
The inauguration of Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Teguh Prakosa, was carried out virtually by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, along with 16 district heads and other mayors in Central Java.
In addition, the wife of Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Selvi Ananda was also appointed as Chairman of the Surakarta City PKK Driving Team and the Surakarta City Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) by the Chairperson of the Central Java PKK TP, Atikoh Ganjar Pranowo.
After the inauguration ceremony, Gibran said that they would not wait long to make a work visit to prepare for vaccination activities at Pasar Gede Solo and Pasar Klewer.
Gibran will visit Gedhe Market to check vaccination preparations for traders, and will be continued with Friday prayers at DPC PDIP Surakarta.
Gibran explained that he and Teguh would immediately do blusukan directly. In fact, Gibran has already scheduled work visits to several points.
"We do not have holidays on Saturdays and Sundays to speed up vaccination activities to accelerate economic recovery in Solo," Gibran said after the inauguration ceremony, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 26.
President Jokowi's eldest son, Gibran previously conveyed his vision of reforming Solo City. Gibran said that Surakarta has two big challenges.
"We must know that Solo currently has 2 big challenges. First, the problem of COVID, the impact is not only on health but on the economy, ”said Gibran.
The second problem, according to Gibran, is the sustainability of Solo as a modern cultural city. There are a number of problems that must be resolved in Gibran's view, namely congestion, population density and garbage.
"Pak Teguh and I offer a vision to represent Solo as a modern, tough, agile, prosperous culture city," he continued emphasizing that this program is based on the spirit of mutual cooperation of all Solo residents.
For economic matters, Gibran talked about the credit restructuring facility. Gibran-Teguh promised to expand labor-intensive programs, especially specifically for workers who have been laid off.
In his presentation, Gibran also touched on the importance of the health protocol for preventing COVID-19. Gibran promotes 3M, namely maintaining distance, wearing masks, and washing hands. The handling of health facilities will be improved.
“Solo can rise from the (impact of) COVID. If the people are healthy, the economy is strong, ”said Gibran.
In addition, Gibran-Teguh Prakosa emphasized the importance of maintaining culture in Surakarta.
“The modern city of Solo cannot stand on the ruins of the old city artifacts. "Traditional markets, art associations, art communities, cultural heritage, these are the pillars of Solo 's strength. This is a magnet for bringing tourists to Solo," said Gibran.
