Ahead Of Ramadan, The Dumai International Pertamina Refinery Ensures That The Supply Of Fuel And Avtur Sumbagut Is Safe
JAKARTA - Ahead of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr (Rafi) 2024 PT Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) Dumai Unit ensured that the supply of fuel and avtur for the North Sumatra region was safe.
Senior Manager of Operation & Manufacturing RU II Dumai Rudi Hartono who was present representing General Manager RU II Dumai stated that currently Dumai Refinery and Sei Pakning operate in optimum capacity to ensure the availability of fuel and Avtur during the Ramadan and Eid this year.
"Various efforts have been prepared and carried out by PT KPI Dumai Unit as a form of refinery reliability mitigation so that it can produce fuel and Avtur as planned," he said in a statement to the media, Saturday, February 17.
Meanwhile, at the coordination meeting between KPI Dumai and Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Executive General Manager of PT PPN Regional Sumbagut Freddy Anwar conveyed the important role of Dumai Refinery and Sei Pakning which produces fuel and Avtur with a total capacity of 170 thousand barrels per day.
The existence of Dumai Refinery is very vital because it is able to cover around 18 percent of the national fuel & Avtur needs.
This supply of fuel from the Dumai Refinery is distributed to the Dumai Integrated Terminal using pipes and also distributed to several Fuel Terminals in several provinces of the North Sumatra region, to be distributed to the community by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
Even Avtur is also partially allocated for the needs of Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. For this reason, it is deemed necessary to coordinate between Pertamina's Sub Holdings to ensure the availability of fuel and Avtur for the community.
