Many Positive Impacts, TKN Calls Prabowo-Gibran Serious In Realizing Free Lunch And Milk

JAKARTA - The free lunch and milk program is one of the eight Asta Cita Prabowo-Gibran campaign programs. The document targets more than 80 million beneficiaries with 100 percent coverage by 2029.

Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Budiman Sudjatmiko, confirmed that the pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2 seriously realized the free lunch and milk program.

"We are serious and therefore, this program requires careful planning from a long time ago, and we have started working for it," Budiman said in a statement received in Jakarta, Saturday.

This seriousness, continued Budiman, was shown by carrying out pilot projects or pilot projects of the program in several places, one of which was in Sukabumi, West Java.

In the pilot project, TKN relies on one kitchen in a restaurant to serve 16 students in each school. The total number of students who get milk and free lunch in the pilot project is 3,500 people.

Budiman also did not deny that the realization of the program was not easy. This is because the program requires a lot of food and human resources (HR) to be implemented nationally.

However, he believes the program will have an impact on improving human resources nutrition and economic turnover at the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) level.

"The potential of beneficiaries is up to 82.9 million schoolchildren throughout Indonesia, so this program will become very massive and have a positive impact on many sectors in Indonesia," said Budiman.

Because he was considered to have had a lot of positive impacts, he ensured that the program would roll after the candidate pair Prabowo-Gibran was declared to have won the 2024 presidential election and was sworn in in October.
