Response To Jokowi's Statement Regarding Election Fraud Report To Bawaslu-MK, AMIN National Team: No Integrity

JAKARTA - The Expert Council of the AMIN National Team, Bambang Widjojanto, emphasized that Jokowi's statement not to fraud in elections was reported directly to Bawaslu and the Constitutional Court, was considered problematic and had no integrity.

"This is logical when Jokowi stated that he just reported to Bawaslu and the Constitutional Court, I gave the logic, when someone involved became part of a fraud and then submitted a proposal to use an official institution, would it be appropriate? In my opinion, the appropriateness of the proposal has integrity problems," said Bambang at the Kebayoran New Amendment Coalition Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday, February 16.

The AMIN National Team Expert Council, which is also the former chairman of the KPK, emphasized that it was precisely those who abused their authority and had the potential to commit election fraud that had to be corrected.

"Why are election fraud or potential fraud abuse of authority, that was first corrected," said Bambang.

Previously, the Head of the National Law Team of the AMIN National Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, also responded to Jokowi's statement. He is pessimistic that Bawaslu will seriously process alleged election violations, if you reflect on previous reports.

"Mr. President, don't worry. We will also do that (report) even though we are actually pessimistic about doing that," said Ari, Thursday, February 15.

As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that all parties should not fuss over allegations of election fraud.

"There is evidence, bring it directly to Bawaslu, there is evidence to bring it directly to the Constitutional Court," said President Jokowi when opening the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024 at JiExpo, Jakarta, Thursday, February 15.
