Europa League Results: Roma Advances, PSV Is Outcast
JAKARTA - AS Roma advanced to the last 16 of the Europa League when PSV Eindhoven were eliminated by Olympiakos despite winning the last 32 second leg match which took place on Friday morning WIB.
Roma, who hosted Braga at the Stadio Olimpico, Italy, won 3-1 over the Portuguese representatives, in order to win a big 16 ticket with a 5-1 aggregate score.
Edin Dzeko, who was recently removed from the position of captain of Rome, gave the Italian capital team the lead in the 23rd minute by snatching the gag ball from Stephan El Shaarawy's shot which was not completely stopped by goalkeeper Tiago Sa.
Lorenzo Pellegrini wasted a chance to double Roma's lead in the 72nd minute after his penalty went wide, but two minutes later he made up for his mistake by sending in a pass that Carles Perez finished to put his side 2-0 ahead of Braga.
Bryan Cristante awarded Braga a consolation goal in the 87th minute when he scored an own goal, but Borja Mayoral completed Roma's 3-1 win a minute into injury time with a close-range flick of a Leonardo Spinazzola pass.

In another match that took place simultaneously at the Philips Stadium, Eindhoven, Netherlands, hosts PSV were faced with the task of overturning the aggregate after losing 2-4 to Olympiakos in the first leg a week ago.
Eran Zahavi scored twice to give PSV a 2-0 lead before halftime with a header and free-kick execution. The score was enough to make PSV qualify for the last 16 armed with the aggressiveness of away goals.
However, two minutes before the breakup of normal time, Olympiacos managed to score a return goal through Ahmed Hassan who grabbed the vomiting ball from Youssef El-Arabi's shot.
