100 Brimob Nusantara Polda Riau Returns From Papua
JAKARTA - Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Agung Setia Imam Efendi SH SIK MSi welcomed the return of 100 Brimob (The Mobile Brigade Corps) Nusantara Polda Riau personnel assigned by BKO to Polda Papua.
The welcoming of 100 personnel who were sent on August 11, 2020, was held at the Riau Police Headquarters page, Jalan Pattimura No. 13 Pekanbaru.
"Alhamdulillah, 100 personnel who were sent, after completing their duties, all returned safely, to carry out their next assignment", said the Police Chief to the press in Pekanbaru, Thursday.
According to him, for 197 days he has carried out the task of securing vulnerable areas in Papua, especially in the Kenyam district, Duga Regency, and Sugapa district, Intan Jaya Regency.
It is known that these two areas are very vulnerable. They have also felt patrolling, escorting, and gunfire there.
The top leadership of the National Police in Riau, he said, believed that the experience of the personnel in dealing with separatists had brought about an increase in capacity which was certainly expected together.
"I am grateful for the discipline and tasks that you carry out with a full sense of responsibility. On behalf of the country I would like to express my gratitude to all members and instill this to be something we are proud of", said Agung.
Chief Agung also advised continuing to maintain health protocols because the COVID-19 pandemic was still not over and when the time off was given, don't get involved in drugs.
"The honor and pride that you have to belong to all of us which will continue to be maintained and our enthusiasm and desire to continue to make the Mobile Brigade police institution continue to prevail with successes in carrying out its duties", he said.
