450 Personnel Deployed By DKI Transportation Agency To Secure Traffic For The 2024 Election
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) deployed 450 personnel to monitor and secure traffic and parking areas at polling stations (TPS) throughout Jakarta.
"We have prepared a total of 450 personnel to monitor and manage traffic around polling stations in Jakarta," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, Wednesday, February 14, as reported by ANTARA.
Syafrin explained that the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency places personnel at polling stations that have a significant number of voters, with the aim of ensuring that the voting process runs smoothly and in an orderly manner.
"We put officers to regulate traffic at polling stations that have a large number of voters," added Syafrin.
Previously, the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Karyoto, reminded that the voting process and vote calculations should be anticipated to avoid turmoil or disputes related to the results of vote calculations and trust in officers.
"I ask members to immediately report any developments in the situation to the leadership in the event of an increase in escalation in the field and not to take excessive action," said Karyoto.

Karyoto also asked for coordination between the police, TNI, and related elements and elements of society to reduce political tensions at the TPS.
The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR, members of the DPD, members of the provincial DPRD, as well as members of the district/city DPRD with a final voter list (DPT) at the national level as many as 204,807,222 voters.
