32 Situbondo Prison Prisoners Can't Distribute Voter Rights
JAKARTA - The Situbondo Class IIB State Detention Center (Rutan), East Java, noted that 32 people out of 361 correctional inmates (WBP) could not give their voting rights because they were not registered on the permanent voter list or the DPT for the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.
Head of Class IIB Rutan Situbondo Rudi Kristiawan said the dozens of inmates could not give their voting rights/noise because they were not registered at any polling stations (TPS), and some were listed as additional voters or DPTB elsewhere.
"So, of the 32 inmates who could not give their voting rights, 29 of them were because they were not registered at any polling station, while the other three people were already registered at Lumajang Prison, Kraksaan Rutan (Probolinggo), and in Ardirejo Village (Situbondo)," said Rudi in Situbondo, East Java, quoting Antara, Wednesday.
Rudi said the number of voters in the state detention center was 361 inmates and added 36 detention center employees who would give their voting rights because they were on duty.
Thus, said Rudi, the total number of people who will give their voting rights at the Situbondo Class IIB Detention Center is 329 people, because 32 people cannot give their voting rights.
"Rutan is one of the special polling stations. Officers from the polling group (KPPS) have received technical guidance from the KPU," he said.
Rudi added that the KPPS officers at the special polling station had been equipped with technical guidance from the KPU three times.
