The Sad Story Of Adnan's Baby In Riau, Experiences A Leaky Heart Aged 2 Months And Is Prohibited From Consuming Breast Milk

RIAU - The Riau Representative Indonesia Zakat Initiative Utilization Team (IZI) distributed cash assistance to the family of Adnan Manaf (14 months) baby who had a leaky heart.

"Hopefully, Allah will heal Adnan's younger brother, Allah will take up his illness, and will quickly grow and develop like other children of his age," said Ghofur, Executive of the Riau Representative IZI Program in Pekanbaru, Thursday, February 25.

Adnan Manaf lives with his parents on Jl Suka Nusa Perum Griya Sakinah Sejahtera Blok D9, Kubang Raya KM 6, Kualu Village, Tambang sub-district, Kampar Regency.

IZI assistance is the result of infaq zakat funds and alms from donors entrusted through the Indonesian Zakat Initiative Laznas.

Adnan Manaf, according to Ghofur, had to live with a leaky heart disease since he was 2 months old. Adnan's baby always has difficulty breathing, so he has to stay in his mother's arms, "he said.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to the donors who have provided this assistance to me through IZI Riau, I will use this as best I can for the medical expenses of my child, thank you very much," said Adnan's father Iwan.

Iwan said, when Adnan was 2 months old, he saw a psychological difference, so my neighbor suggested he be taken to the hospital.

Finally, I brought it to Eka Hospital Pekanbaru City at the expense of BPJS. It turned out that I had to be referred to RSCM Jakarta, and the treatment was more than 4 months.

Adnan's baby fell into a coma during a CT scan and with a heavy heart the doctor at RSCM Jakarta advised the baby not to do surgery.

"So now you only depend on the medicines I buy at the pharmacy, and every month you have to be in control at Eka Hospital," continued the father, who works as a mobile satay seller.

Since being diagnosed with leaky heart disease, babies and babies are not recommended to consume the mother's milk (ASI) because they have to meet the needs of high calorie intake.

So the doctor advised to consume special milk for malnourished babies at a price of Rp. 177,000 and it was consumed within 2 days and had to be repurchased.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to the donors who have provided this assistance to me through IZI Riau, I will use this as best I can for the medical expenses of my child, thank you very much," said Iwan.
