Restu Ibu Jadi Jimat Cakra Khan Dalam Bermusik
JAKARTA - Staying in the music industry for 12 years is certainly not easy for Cakra Khan. But he was able to get through it consistently with new works.
Cakra admitted that her mother's blessing had a big role in every decision she made during music. He also always asked his mother to pray for him when he appeared.
"It must be (asking for prayers to mother). If you want to go on stage, you must say first, 'Mother, pray'," said Cakra Khan in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 12.
In the process of composing songs on the latest album, Cakra also often communicates with her mother. In fact, he said that his mother was monitoring the development of each song.
"Because you always monitor, she asked 'dek, what are you doing now? Dek, how is the progress?' So, even though it's not the end result, I've been used to it every time I finish recording, I always deposit it (to my mother). Because you always want to know," said Cakra Khan.
"To my mother first, 'It's good (good) okay. This side of the deck seems like this', sometimes it's like that too," he added.
Cakra admitted, this has been done since the beginning of his career in the music world. Not without reason, her mother's worry and care make Cakra get used to it.
"From the first (singing). Because she (mother) just likes to worry. I'm afraid I can't carry it optimally or my mother is afraid that the song doesn't match," he said.
Moreover, Cakra also admitted that his mother was quite critical, especially after he decided to have a career in the entertainment world.
"Because you've always been a little critical. From the time my voice changed, from elementary school to rough like this, you said 'Oh, it's not good. Don't bring this song'," concluded Cakra Khan.
