Suspected Of Embezzling Borrowed Cars, Police In Gresik Were Reported

GRESIK - A member of the Gresik Police, East Java, with the initials N, reported Aunur Rahim. N was reported on suspicion of car embezzlement.

"My car was taken away by unscrupulous members of the Gresik Police for almost two weeks," said Rahim, after reporting the case to the Gresik Police, Thursday, February 25.

Rahim admitted that he did not have the slightest suspicion of N because he had known him since 2013.

Even N often rented his car and always came back. "But this time I didn't even come back," he said.

Rahim said that the embezzlement case began when N rented his car since February 15. At that time, said Rahim, N rented his car for two days but it never returned.

"It seems that I was lied to, I promised to return it tomorrow, but it turned out that I didn't return it the day after tomorrow," he said.

N had contacted Rahim and promised to return the car. Rahim started to be confused, because his car never came back.

"On Sunday night (February 22), suddenly N came to the house to apologize, claiming to have pawned my car for Rp. 20 million. But until now N cannot be contacted," he explained.

Rahim admitted that he suffered a loss of time and material of Rp. 115 million, plus rental costs of around Rp. 2.8 million for almost two weeks.

"I lost time, because that car is the only way to make a living. I hope that the Gresik Police will not be overwhelmed by arresting its own members, and my car can come back," said Rahim.

Confirmed separately, N contacted by telephone did not answer. Meanwhile, the Head of Gresik Police, AKBP Arief Fitrianto, has also not responded.

"I'm still actively zooming in on," said the Head of Public Relations at the Gresik Police, AKP Bambang Angkasa, who was also confirmed.
