CENTRAL PAPUA - Air Force Base (Lanud) Yohanis Kapiyau Timika in Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province, assisted in the process of sending logistics for the 2024 General Election to Jila District.
Air Base Commander (Danlanud) Yohanis Kapiyau Timika Lt. Col. Pnb Kamto Adi Saputra said the election logistics carried by the TNI Heli Caracal EC-725 aircraft were 30 ballot boxes, 9 polling group officers (KPPS) and two police officers.

"On the order of Pangkoopsud III that all types of transport aircraft and Indonesian Air Force helicopters are prepared if the Mimika General Election Commission asks for logistics distribution purposes to answer the needs of the community and local government," he said.

He explained that sending election logistics to the interior of Central Papua using Caracal Heli is one proof that the Indonesian Air Force is ready to help make the election a success on Thursday, February 14, 2024.
