Calm Times, Gibran Visits Residents Recipients Of House Assistance From The Surakarta City Government
JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president (cawapres) number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, visited the Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) aid house which was recently occupied by poor beneficiaries.
Gibran's arrival to the beneficiaries of this assistance as Mayor of Surakarta in a quiet period of the 2024 General Election on Monday, February 12.
"It's not leaked, huh?" asked Gibran to the recipient residents in front of the aid house, quoted from the Surakarta News YouTube channel.
"Can I help again?" asked President Jokowi's eldest son again.
"Later, if there are fewer, they will be drawn (plester cement)," he continued.
At another aid house he reviewed, Gibran this time entered the front room. He received an explanation of the condition of the building and the progress of one of the officers who had accompanied him in this activity.
When inspecting other aid houses in the same area, officers explained that the construction was built using light steel.
The aid house, said the officer, did not have a bathroom in the building in the past but is now available.
When saying goodbye, Gibran joked to the residents who were beneficiaries of housing assistance initiated by the Surakarta City Government in collaboration with private companies to try to eradicate hundreds of these Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH). "The one who helped him, Buk. I just managed," said Gibran, appointing an officer.
