BIGBANG Loyalty Back Renewing Contract With YG Entertainment

JAKARTA - The word `` loyal '' is suitable to describe the relationship between the four BIGBANG personnel and their agency YG Entertainment. Because G-Dragon, TOP, Taeyang, and Daesung have renewed their cooperation contract with YG Entertainment for the third time.

That means the boy group BIGBANG has extended their contact since their debut with YG Entertainment in 2006. Then their contract renewal in 2011 and the end of 2015.

"BIGBANG is a group that has transcended musical boundaries and changed the flow of South Korean pop culture. We will support BIGBANG in all sectors so that they continue to contribute to writing K-pop history as a representative group of our label," wrote YG Entertainment.

Actually BIGBANG has been on hiatus from the music world, because one by one the members have to undergo military service, since the beginning of last year. Rumor has it that G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP, and Daesung did not want to renew their contracts with the agency anymore.

This was questioned when the YG Entertainment Instagram account uploaded the Coachella poster line up where BIGBANG was one of the performers. At that time, they uploaded because BIGBANG was still under YG Entertainment.

The BIGBANG group has always been known as the signature group of YG Entertainment. Soaring slowly, they had various hits that made it to the charts.

The nickname Digital Monster was stuck beside them because every time they released a song, it always made it into the charts at number one. Including the song Flower Road which they released after entering the military.

Their musical journey is not always brilliant, several scandals have also followed BIGBANG members' careers. One of them, Seungri, who reportedly committed prostitution online in a chat group, made him decide to leave the music industry.

Besides the contract extension, YG Entertainment also announced BIGBANG's comeback this year. Initially, BIGBANG's first comeback was planned to be held at the 2020 Coachella music festival.

However, the spread of the corona virus in several countries made Coachella postponed until October. Even so, BIGBANG is still preparing for its comeback, after the members return from military service.

The news of BIGBANG's contract extension with YG Entertainment was also responded to by his fans, namely VIPs. Not a few of them expressed their joy at BIGBANG's return, but not a few also asked BIGBANG to opt out of the agency following the scandal at YG Entertainment.
