Police Hunt For 4.3 Tons Of Subsidized Solar Fuel Smuggler Boss In Palembang

The South Sumatra Police are still hunting for a boss who smuggled 4.3 tons of subsidized diesel fuel (BBM) in the region.

Kasubdit IV Tipidter Ditreskrimsus Polda Sumsel AKBP Bagus Suryo said the hunt was carried out by the police after the police arrested the suspect (T), an employee of R who was hoarding diesel at a gas station in the Kertapati area, Palembang.

"We are targeting to quickly arrest (R)," said AKBP Bagus, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 7.

Meanwhile, R's person who was ordered has also been secured and taken to the South Sumatra Police Headquarters along with evidence of a tronton truck.

The police found a baby tank with a capacity of 1,000 liters as much as 10 liters and a baby tank that had been filled as much as 4,380 liters of subsidized diesel fuel. The baby tank was transported by Hino truck with the number BG 8949 C.

In addition, the police also found 20 MyPertamina barcodes and 20 fake vehicle police number plates that matched the vehicle number to 20 MyPertamina accounts.

"Also a pump engine was found connected to a baby tank in the back of the truck," he said.

From the suspect's confession (T), he admitted that he was ordered by R and paid Rp. 3.5 million per month.

Suspect T received funds from R amounting to Rp. 7 million to buy subsidized fuel at a number of gas stations in the city of Palembang.
