Fishermen Riding The Anies Oration Stage In Parepare: We Don't Need Free Food, But Need Equality
SOUTH SULAWESI - Presidential Candidate (candidate) number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan absorbs the aspirations of fishermen while campaigning at Lumpue Field, Parepare City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), Tuesday 6 February.
In his political oration, Anies highlighted the narrow fishing area, thus affecting their daily income.
"There are so many fishermen who complain. They are small fishermen who want to go to sea far away, but they are cut by the rules, they are only allowed to go to sea 12 miles from the beach," Anies said in a written statement, Tuesday, February 6, which was confiscated by Antara.
He explained, the narrower the scope of fishing fishermen will be, making their welfare not increase and unequal with established fisheries business actors.
In addition, said Anies, diesel fuel that is difficult to reach further worsening the condition of fishermen to go to sea and make a living.
"You can't go far, the diesel is also difficult, what can they feel progress? God willing, changes will occur to our fishermen," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
During the campaign oration in South Sulawesi, suddenly a fisherman came to the stage and immediately expressed his complaint and hopes to Anies.
"We don't need free meals, free milk, which we need equality," said Sappe, who is a representative of the Lumpue White Sand Beach fisherman.
Sappe hopes that the community can be given leeway in making a living, especially in terms of sailing permits to fishing taxes, as well as hopes to get proper health services and good education for children.
