Persebaya Coach Reveals Ernando Ari's Condition After Injury In The Match Against Bhayangkara FC

JAKARTA - Persebaya coach, Paul Munster, revealed the latest condition of his goalkeeper, Ernando Ari Sutaryadi, who was injured during the match against Bhayangkara FC.

Persebaya Surabaya host Bhayangkara FC in the 24th week of Liga 1 2023/2024, Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Gelora Bung Tomo (GBT) stadium, Surabaya. They managed to get three points with a 1-0 victory.

Despite getting full points, Persebaya had to pay dearly for their success with the injuries suffered by Ernando Ari's guard. The mainstay player of the Indonesian national team looked in pain when he left the field.

While holding his hand, Ernando Ari seemed to have a problem with his shoulder. It happened in the 87th minute after he had a collision with Bhayangkara FC player Luis Marcelo and landed on his shoulder.

Because of the incident, Persebaya goalkeeping coach, Benjamin Van Breukelen, also came in to ensure the condition of his students. The decision, the player from Semarang was immediately replaced.

Regarding Ernando's condition, Paul Munster admitted that he could not explain in detail the condition of the goalkeeper.

"I can't explain how Ernando's injury was," said Paul Munster, quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Although the former Bhayangkara FC coach could not confirm whether Ernando had a dislocation injury to his shoulder or something else, he made sure the team of doctors would handle Ernando well.

"The doctor is still examining him. The team will provide the best care so that he can immediately return to training and playing," said Munster.

Ernando's condition is clearly worrying considering that the 21-year-old also has a history of shoulder injuries. The Indonesian national team player even underwent surgery due to serious injuries.
