Facing Persiraja In The 2023/2024 Liga 2 Semifinals, Ruben Sanadi Believes PSBS Biak Opportunities Can Win

JAKARTA - PSBS Biak captain Ruben Sanadi spread optimism ahead of the 2023/2024 Liga 2 semifinals. PSBS will face Persiraja Banda Aceh in the last four.

Ruben believes his team will be ready and do not rule out the possibility of winning Liga 2 2023/2024. Not only that, after seeing the results of the draw for the League 2 semifinals, Ruben Sanadi admitted that he was happy and challenged. Moreover, this semifinal match will bring together the team from the west end and the east end of Indonesia.

"This is a unique result, yes, the end (team) meets the end, but our commitment is that whoever is the opponent in the semifinals, we will be ready to face it," said Ruben Sanadi after the draw for the League 2 semifinals in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Monday, January 5, 2024, evening WIB.

"Earlier before starting (the draw) I had said we were ready to face anyone in the semifinals, nothing was impossible. If God permits, we will continue," he said optimistically.

The League 2 2023/2024 semifinals will be held in a two-legged format. Judging by the draw results which took place on Monday, February 5, 2024, PSBS Biak will first undergo an away match to Langsa Stadium, Aceh, on February 25, 2024.

Four days later or February 29, 2024, it was PSBS Biak's turn to host Persiraja Banda Aceh at the Mandala Stadium, Jayapura.

Meanwhile, when asked about the target of facing Persiraja Banda Aceh, Ruben Sanadi wanted to give his best performance and achieve maximum results.

"Yes, we are ready for anyone to fight in the semifinals. So, maybe we will train for the match later," said Ruben.

Furthermore, Ruben emphasized that nothing is impossible. According to him, any football can happen. Likewise with PSBS Biak who have an open opportunity to become the champion of Liga 2 2023/2024.

"We can't overtake God, yes. The point is we see the team. So, we are ready for the semifinals because the first match determines the second leg. So, whoever we face tomorrow, the team is ready," said Ruben Sanadi.

"Earlier, what I said was nothing impossible. We want to win if God allows it," he said.
