Anti-Corruption Education, KPK: No One Suddenly Has Integrity

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said a child's environment has a role in forming an anti-corruption character. The value of integrity must be instilled from the start.

This was conveyed by the Head of the KPK Education Network Task Force, Friendly Handoko, during the Anti-Corruption Management activity in the Hall Room of SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi, Malang, East Java on Monday, February 5.

"No one suddenly becomes with integrity. Needs to be educated, trained and accustomed, starting from home, the environment and school," said Friendly quoted in a written statement, Tuesday, February 6.

"The role of all parties such as school principals, teachers to parents, continued Friendly, is reminded to set an example for children. So that the value of integrity and anti-corruption education instilled in students is not in vain," he said.

Not only that, they were also asked to set an example of integrity for novice voters. One of them is by staying away from money politics.

The KPK will always remind related parties both to the organizers, participants and prospective voters so that elections are held in integrity. Reject money politics or dawn attacks," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Principal for Public Relations of SMAN 1 Gondanglegi Afifudin Nifiati hopes that his students can absorb the message conveyed by the anti-corruption commission. While working, they are expected to be able to apply the value of integrity.

"Hopefully whatever the profession of children in the future will still uphold the values of integrity and become an anti-corruption person," he concluded.
