Army Chief Of Staff Maruli Advises Megawati To Report If There Is TNI Intimidation Of The People
JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak suggested to PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to report directly to the TNI, including the Army, when she found TNI soldiers intimidating the people. "If you really want to be official, you can report it or convey it, there is an incident where we will try to follow up later. So, if we present intimidation, we also don't know where, it's also difficult," said Maruli in response to reporters' questions after attending a Christmas celebration event with the TNI AD, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 5. Megawati in front of his supporters at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Saturday, February 3, calling on the police and soldiers not to intimidate the people. "Remember, hey police, no more intimidation of my people. Hey soldiers, no more intimidation of my people. PDI-P is a legitimate party in this Republic.
