This Water Was Hit By High Waves Of Up To 4 Meters On February 5, 2024
JAKARTA - High waves up to four meters are expected to hit a number of Indonesian waters on Monday 5 February from 07.00 WIB to Tuesday 6 February at 07.00 WIB. Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that wind patterns in the southern part of Indonesia moved from southwest to northwest at a speed of 4 to 25 knots. Meanwhile, in the northern part, wind patterns moved from north to northeast at the same speed. The highest wind speed will occur in the northern waters of the Sangihe Islands, the waters of the Sabalana Islands, the waters of the Selayar Islands, the eastern Java Sea, the southern part of the Makassar Strait. High waves with heights between 2.5-4 meters are expected to hit the eastern Flores Sea, the waters of the Sangihe Islands to the Talaud Islands, as well as the northern Pacific Ocean Halmahera to Biak.
