CIA Opens Its Own Borok, China: Thank You For Being Honest

JAKARTA - The Chinese government with satire expresses its gratitude to the Head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), calling that the CIA boss has actually revealed the existence of "US spies everywhere".

Wang Wenbin, Spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Friday, February 2, expressed his appreciation for William Burns, CIA Director, for giving a warning through an opinion post in a magazine.

In his response, Wang insisted that China would remain as cautious as usual and would not allow the US to engage in illegal acts.

Wang also highlighted that as the head of the world's largest intelligence agency, William Burns openly stated that US spies were scattered in various places.

"As the head of the world's largest intelligence agency, William Burns openly reports to everyone that US spies are everywhere," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 3.

Burns initially said that China was a greater long-term threat, Burns wrote in a magazine that the CIA had substantially deployed more resources to China's data collection, operations and intelligence analysis worldwide, with a double-larger budget in just the last two years.

"We are recruiting and training more Mandarin-speaking speakers while increasing efforts around the world to compete with China, from Latin America, Africa to the Indo-Pacific," Burns wrote.

Wang said China was committed to peaceful development.

"China development represents opportunities for global development and the growth of world peace powers," Wang said in Beijing.
